Moseley landlord ordered to reinstate 14 bedsits back to family home

The unauthorised  conversion of a large family house into multiple bedsits by the owner, Gentle Properties Ltd. has been found to be in breach of planning rules.

The property in Coppice Road, Moseley, has been turned into a multiple occupation property without consent and a subsequent application to turn the building into two residential flats has been deemed unacceptable by Birmingham's Planning Committee who thought it would ruin a good family home.

The property has generated complaints of nuisance and anti-social behaviour whilst being used as bedsits. The council's enforcement team has been tasked with ensuring action is taken to remove the unauthorised bedsits and restore the building.
