            Moseley 'pop' idles voted off

James Ryan and Andrew Stevens would serenade Moseley residents with their renditions of Faith and Wonderwall by hitting dustbin lids, street benches, litter bins and various items of street furniture. The pair have been banned from entering parts of Moseley and also playing musical instruments in public in the area. They face jail if they breached the two-year anti-social behaviour orders handed out at Birmingham Magistrates Court.

Ryan and Stevens would play, sing and beg outside a variety of pubs in the village through the evening and often into the early hours. Late night drinkers would often join in with them and fights had broken out between groups heading home. They could also often be found at taxi ranks and bank cashpoints along
Alcester Road and St Mary's Row.

Local residents quality of life was being affected by the repeated disturbances and the police were being called regularly over a period of 18 months. Police plan to put up posters in the exclusion zone.
