Moseley Forum appoints Communications Officer
Moseley Forum, the neighbourhood organisation for Moseley has appointed its first communications officer to help raise the profile of the organisation and to involve more local people in its work.
The forum, managed entirely by volunteers, works to have a positive influence on local issues and improve the area for the benefit of residents.
David Butlin joins the team as communications officer on a part-time voluntary basis working a few hours each week as and when the Moseley Forum committee requires. He was appointed at the monthly Moseley Forum Committee meeting on February 2nd at St Columba's Church, Alcester Road.
David said: “I am delighted to be appointed and to be able to get involved in local issues. It’s a way of making a positive contribution to Moseley as well as learning some new things and meeting some new people.”
Moseley Forum set up Moseley’s FARMA award winning monthly farmers market and the annual Moseley Festival and also instigated Moseley’s involvement in the Britain in Bloom competition, all of which have gone on to be successful, self-managed and self-sustaining projects in their own right.
The next committee meeting is on Monday 6th April at St Columba's Church at 7.30pm. Local residents are welcome to attend.
