Moseley investigation in 'bomb' kidnap ordeal

The victim of the suspected kidnap crime who was found bound in a car in Saltley, Birmingham on Sunday morning had been forced into a blue car by a gang as he walked along Wake Green Road, Moseley police have disclosed.

The un-named man was threatened and assaulted before being transferred to a white Nissan Micra where he was tethered alongside a number of gas canisters and told he was connected to a bomb.

Police do not think the incident is gang-related and are appealing for anyone with information to call Kings Heath CID on 0845 113 5000.

Three men and a woman have been arrested and questioned over the above incident at the weekend. The men aged 23, 24 and 54 and a 27 year-old woman were arrested on Wednesday evening and released on Thursday. The investigation continues.
