to celebrate the spring and summer and all things yellow, sunny and happy we have been spreading free sunflower seeds around moseley (yes, it was us!) hopefully they will be nurtured and loved and become one of the family in no time at all, brightening up a corner of your garden and encouraging insects and wildlife.

we wished to follow the progress of all the sunflowers in the area and publish any particularly outstanding ones with a prize to be awarded in early september for the most impressively tallest one within the entire shire of moseley.

we will be publishing photos, growing tips, any stories and tall sunflower tales throughout the summer and hopefully moseley will become a forest of helianthus for a month or two.

so send us any pics you take and we will put them on clickity before you can say "two parts compost-one part soil'!!. bBelow are just a couple of pics of our younger age-group participants. oOh, and if you missed out on your seeds on saturday just drop us an email and the sunflower fairy will drop one round to your place.
